'Dead' doodles point out TV series flaws

Although I've been enjoying AMC's adaptation of The Walking Dead a tremendous amount, I have had several problems with the series as a whole.  I am planning on doing a more complete write-up after Sunday's season one finale to hammer out the good and bad.  For now, though, I thought I would share some fun images I stumbled across from another Walking Dead viewer and flickrite, Graham Annable.  Annable posts his doodles to flickr under the name Grickle, and he's created a small set of images that pretty accurately spell out some of the problems this series has been having. Worst Dad ever.

You can check out the rest of his "The Walking Not-So-Smart" set and more of his work at his flickr page.

While I believe the show works on a visceral level, there are definitely some scripting and character development issues that need ironing out before season two starts filming.  With a thirteen episode order for next season, hopefully the extended format can eliminate some of these problem.

In other Walking Dead news, I just received an e-mail from Amazon stating the first season set will hit Blu-ray and DVD on March 8, 2011.  The title has not officially been announced for release just yet however, so consider that date speculative until an official press release has been issued.
