AMC refutes earlier rumor, Walking Dead writers safe

Deadline broke a rumor Tuesday night that Frank Darabont was firing of the entire writing staff for AMC's newest must-see TV series, The Walking Dead, prior to production on the series second season.  Darabont had allegedly been planning on farming out the scripts for season two's 13-episode order to freelancers and dissolving the show's current writing staff.  In a statement released this morning, AMC has confirmed that there will be no changes in store for the series writers.  Visit Deadline for more on this story.
